Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities and trends in the care home and elderly care sector in the new country.
- Analyze local regulations, competition, and consumer needs to ensure the care home’s offerings align with market demand.
- Develop a strategic plan for market entry and expansion.
Business Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to ensure successful market penetration and long-term growth.
- Work with senior management to set financial goals, KPIs, and timelines for scaling operations.
- Identify potential business partners, investors, or joint ventures that could support the start-up’s expansion goals.
Sales & Marketing:
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, and potential clients.
- Develop a marketing and sales strategy to promote the care home’s services to the target audience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create campaigns that raise brand awareness and attract clients.
- Lead negotiations and close deals with key partners, such as hospitals, insurance providers, and corporate clients.
Partnership Development:
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that will enhance the care home’s visibility and market share.
- Collaborate with healthcare organizations, government agencies, and community groups to build a strong referral network.
- Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the care home and build strategic connections.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Assist in developing the business budget, ensuring that the business development activities are aligned with financial goals.
- Monitor the financial performance of the care home in terms of revenue growth, profitability, and ROI.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, market conditions, and financial forecasts to the senior management team.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the care home complies with all local and international laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare policies and regulations that may impact the care home’s operations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of business development goals with operational capabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff involved in business development and marketing efforts.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of business management or allied experience, ideally in healthcare, elderly care, or hospitality.
- Proven experience in business development, market expansion, and sales strategy in a start-up or new market environment.
- Experience in managing relationships with stakeholders across healthcare or service-based industries.
- Understanding of the healthcare industry and care home regulations in the country (or ability to quickly familiarize with local regulations).
