Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including gathering data and assisting in budget preparation and analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments like operations, human resources, and procurement to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND qualification required.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting within the financial services industry.
- Possession of ICAN, ACCA, or another business/professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and derive insights.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Effective communication skills for clear and concise financial reporting to stakeholders.
