Candidate Profile

• Degree: University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years as a Mechanical Engineer, with at least 5 years in the petrochemical industry and 5 years in a supervisory operational position.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge in turbo machinery and relevant mechanical systems.

Key Activities

• Maintenance Planning: Assist in updating maintenance plans, drafting procedures, issuing drawings, performing studies, and reviewing spare parts and tools. Ensure proper documentation and data management in computerized systems.
• Operational Support: Provide technical support to FPSO AKPO & EGINA teams, develop maintenance methods, analyze work practices, and suggest optimizations.
• Technical Studies: Conduct studies aimed at improving facility performance and handling technical problem resolution. Manage warranty claims and corrective actions.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze equipment performance and implement condition monitoring programs.
• Field Supervision: Monitor offshore team activities, provide on-site assistance, and participate in major operations like shutdowns.
• Logistics and Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, additional manpower, services, tools, spare parts, and consumables for offshore operations. Handle repairs and inspections at LADOL or contractor facilities.
• System Management: Use UNISUP to track works, materials, services, and optimize stock of spare parts and consumables.
• Documentation: Maintain and update technical documents, provide reports, and ensure material receipt and condition in warehouses.

Context & Environment

• Location: Lagos (Resident).
• Language: Fluent English required.
• Technology: Involves working with Gas Turbines, Compressors, Diesel Engines, Static Equipment, and other mechanical items.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Mechanical Rotating Equipment in updating maintenance plans, ensuring spare parts coverage, and mobilizing external resources.
• Provide on-site technical assistance for maintenance preparation, execution, and material receipt, ensuring the integrity of equipment.
