Scholarship Information:

The TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowship is a fully funded program designed for young scientists from developing countries (excluding India). Fellows conduct research at CSIR laboratories in India in fields such as biological sciences, engineering, physics, and more. The fellowship lasts between 6 and 12 months, with awardees receiving a monthly stipend to cover living costs, food, and health insurance. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field, be under 45 years old, and provide proof of acceptance from a CSIR institution. This program supports global scientific growth by fostering research collaboration.

  • All developing countries except India

  • Be employed in a research role in a developing country
  • Obtain an acceptance letter from a CSIR institution in India
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English (if the medium of education was not English)
  • Commit to returning to their home country after the fellowship
  • Not take up other assignments during the fellowship
  • Cover expenses for accompanying family members

How to Apply:

  1. Contact a CSIR laboratory or institution in India to obtain a formal acceptance letter.
  2. Submit the acceptance letter along with your application through the TWAS online portal at onlineforms.twas.org.
  3. Send a copy of the submitted application to CSIR via email.
  4. Ensure all documents are submitted before the deadline on January 14, 2024.
  5. Incomplete applications or those without acceptance letters will not be considered.
