The IHE Delft Institute for Water Education is a globally recognized institution based in the Netherlands, focusing on water management and sustainable development. In partnership with The Rotary Foundation, a global organization dedicated to community service and development, this program aims to address the worldwide water and sanitation crisis. Together, they provide scholarships to equip professionals from developing and emerging nations with the skills and knowledge to solve water-related challenges. Since 2012, this partnership has supported over 165 students, fostering collaboration between Rotary members and skilled water experts globally.

Scholarship Information:
The UNESCO/IHE Delft Rotary Scholarships are designed for graduate students admitted to the MSc Program in Water and Sustainable Development at IHE Delft. These scholarships are part of a strategic initiative to develop highly skilled professionals in water and sanitation, focusing on themes such as water and health, climate risks, ecosystems, and more.
Candidates are selected by Rotary Clubs in their local communities after academic admission to IHE Delft. Successful applicants receive funding managed through Rotary’s Global Grant process. Rotary Clubs also maintain contact with scholars throughout their studies, ensuring a supportive network for professional and personal growth.

Applicants must:
- Secure admission to the MSc Program in Water and Sustainable Development at IHE Delft.
- Be nominated by a local Rotary Club.
- Submit a completed application form, including their resume and admission letter.
- Focus on one of these thematic tracks:
- Water and Health
- Water, Food, and Energy
- Water Resources and Ecosystems Health
- Water Hazards, Risks, and Climate
How to Apply:
- Apply for admission to the MSc program at IHE Delft by April 1, 2025.
- Contact your nearest Rotary Club early in the application process.
- Request nomination for a Rotary scholarship.
- Complete the scholarship application form with the Rotary Club’s support.
- Submit the completed form to the Rotary/IHE Delft committee by email at rotary.ihescholarship@gmail.com, copying your District Governor and District Rotary Foundation Chair.
- Ensure all applications are submitted by April 15, 2025.
