Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Structural, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in Engineering & Construction, managing small to medium-sized projects.
- Professional membership (e.g., Nigerian Society of Engineers – NSE) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with TotalEnergies’ Referentials is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English, hardworking, disciplined, and trustworthy.
- Physically able to work on Offshore oil and gas installations.
Activities:
- Prepare and execute offshore construction, including pipeline repairs, structural modifications, and well connections.
- Oversee engineering studies, tender processes, fabrication, site installations, and documentation.
- Responsible for project execution from Notification/SMR/RFM approval.
- Estimate costs, schedules, and technical feasibility for project review.
- Ensure efficient work to meet the statement of requirements.
- Define contract strategy and handle tenders and bid evaluations.
- Supervise contractors and manage project execution.
- Prepare and defend project budgets with management and partners.
- Analyze contractor variation orders for consistency with contracts.
- Coordinate offshore logistics and collaborate with Field Operations.
- Ensure QA/QC standards are met and properly documented.
- Manage punchlists and document closeouts in the As-built database.
- Close out NIs/NCs in SAP upon project completion.
- Participate in Safety Reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and Job Risk Assessments.
- Ensure contractors maintain viable work schedules, considering ongoing activities.
- Issue daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Organize contractor activities from Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) to project completion.
Context & Environment:
- Oversee 100+ construction modifications annually across 7 offshore sites.
- Activities include piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation work.
- Port Harcourt-based with frequent offshore visits.
- High HSE risks, managing aging facilities and complex interfaces with government authorities (NUIMS, NUPRC, NCDMB).
- Major clients: Field Operations, DEV/PLN, Drilling & Wells, HSE.
- Cross-functional environment with opportunities to build strong working relationships.

- Ensure contractor adherence to safety regulations, halting work if unsafe, and organizing safety meetings and recovery plans.
